EMS Cooperative of the Universal Postal Union (UPU)

The EMS Cooperative contracted AfroCloud to convert content into self-paced eLearning courses for the UPU’s Moodle Platform that would be used by its postal operators and employees in over 178 countries to help members continue to improve their quality of service despite the limitations caused by the pandemic. This project is set to be completed in 2022.

The EMS Cooperative was created at the 22nd Congress of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), a specialized United Nations agency. The EMS Cooperative includes over 180 designated operator members which constitute a unified global network providing customers with a service that meets their needs. The EMS product is the fastest postal product, combining speed with reliability, visibility, affordability and customer focus.

UNICEF Zimbabwe

UNICEF contracted AfroCloud to digitize leadership training for primary and secondary school heads in Zimbabwe. Working with subject matter experts from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MoPSE) and content developers, AfroCloud is creating self-paced courses to be taken online and offline by school heads despite their remote locations and the effects of the pandemic on such training conducted traditionally.

The United Nations Children’s Fund is a UN agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. The agency is among the most widespread and recognizable social welfare organizations in the world, with a presence in 192 countries and territories. UNICEF contracted AfroCloud to digitize leadership training for primary and secondary school heads in Zimbabwe.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

In 2021, the UNDP contracted AfroCloud to develop a six-hour online course to be taught in live online sessions and available for self-study on the East African Community (EAC) Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Program for private sector and government stakeholders as a tool to prevent and detect wildlife and other illicit trafficking in supply chains and facilitate international trade.

The UNDP works in over 170 countries to end poverty, build democratic governance, rule of law and inclusive institutions. They advocate for change and connect countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life.

Conprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO) Preparatory Commission

The CTBTO Preparatory Commission has been developing eLearning content over several years, enhancing its classroom training and field exercises. AfroCloud has been contracted to rebuild the eLearning content and to upgrade and customize the eLearning platform used for this training.

The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) was set up in 1996 with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. It is an interim organization tasked with building up the verification regime of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) in preparation for the Treaty’s entry into force as well as promoting the Treaty’s universality.

Camara Education

AfroCloud was contracted to digitize Camara’s entire teacher on-boarding programs by creating animations, motion graphic and explainer videos. The digital videos were incorporated into their eLearning modules or directly onto their LMS.  These programs were part of their new micro-courses project.

Camara Education is an international education organization dedicated to delivering real impact through technology by inspiring and empowering leaders, educators and the young generation across Africa and Ireland.  Camara supports roughly 200 schools in Kenya. To enable the organization more efficiently onboard teachers onto their digital programs, Camara shifted their teacher onboarding process from face to face training to eLearning.

The scope of the engagement also involved us setting up and deployed a fully managed eLearning platform.
